Seymour Shuren
Seymour L. Shuren has been sculpting in stone, primarily marble and alabaster,
and bronze for over forty years. As a young artist he studied drawing and painting
at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and developed his sculpting skills
in the studio of the renowned sculptor Elaine Warshaw in Merrick, New York. His
creative pieces have been on display in many museums and galleries including the
Hecksher Museum in Huntington, New York, the Katonah Museum of Fine Arts in Katonah,
New York, the Flynn Gallery in Greenwich, Connecticut The Salamagundi Club in
New York City, the Viridian Gallery in New York City and the National Sculpture
Society headquarters in New York City. Many of his sculptures are in private
collections as well. He is an active member of the Piermont Flywheel Gallery
in Piermont, New York where some of his sculptures are always on display.
